NADEV is at it again. As a means of reducing GBV in our society of today, NADEV in partnership with AMCODE recently sponsored 09 couples formally living in free union to obtain marriage certificates. Every year NADEV graduates averagely 20 couples giving them a new marriage status bringing the number of beneficiary couples within the last 4 years to 192 and 09 from the South West and West Regions respectively. Due to the escalation of the Anglophone crisis, most businesses in the two Anglophone regions have been affected drastically. Many people have gone out of business for these reasons:
• Inability to meet up with payment of taxes due to several days of lock downs.
• Inability to pay rents due to poor turnover.
• Pressure on capital from hosting IDPs.
Small Business Component was implemented in the Moungo Division. Two trainings have been carried out in the villages of Souza and Kake with a total of 36 women. These women were trained on customer relationship, record keeping, risk management, savings and marketing. The women welcome the project with a lot of euphoria and saw it as an opportunity to boost their profit margin and livelihood in the long run. They promised NC4D that recovery will be at a 100%.
